The Timeline Mistake

The Maranatha book contained 4 pages of historical dates ranging from 679 to 2005 in reverse chronological order. One of the entries, for the year 1184, was out of order. Figure 1 shows the relevant page from the Maranatha book. A red arrow points to the 1184 date that is out of order. The 1184 entry should be between 1156 and 1212.

Figure 2 shows the text selected by the Key from II Samuel and Revelation.

Figure 2 – The Key Text from II Samuel and Revelation

  • The date 1184 confirms the selected text in II Samuel.
  • In reverse order, the verse numbers in the left column of II Samuel are 11, 8, and 4, which matches the date 1184.
  • 1184 should be between 1156 and 1212.
  • Adding the three dates gives, 1156 + 1184 + 1212 = 3552
  • Adding 3 for the three dates, or the three lines of text selected by the key, gives, 3552 + 3 = 3555
  • 3555 matches the total gematria value of the Key text from II Samuel and Revelation before the value is modified using the rules.

The three dates confirm the Key text before the rules are applied. The gematria value and letter counts of the text for 1184 can be used to confirm the Key text following application of both sets of rules. The 1184 entry is repeated below:

1184 Chretien de Troyes is commissioned by the Court of Champagne, the foundation seat of the Order of the Knights Templar, to write the first Grail legend. These myths expand in popularity and begin the public conceived link between the Poor Knights of Christ and the Holy Grail.

  • The gematria value of the 1184 text is 2608
  • There are a total of 48 words and 233 characters
  • There are 4 punctuation marks.
  • There are 4 U’s in the text.
  • There are no italicized letters

To find the confirmation values,

  • Add the gematria value to the date, 1184 + 2608 = 3792
  • Add the number of punctuation marks and U’s in the text, 3792 + 4 + 4 = 3800
  • Subtract the number of characters in the text, 3800 – 233 = 3567

Now recall that the two sets of rules added different values for the verse numbers, adding either 1 or 2 for numbers. The two total values of the Key text after applying the rules can be found here by adding and subtracting the values used for the numbers in the rules.

  • For Rule 1, add 2 for the number, 3567 + 2 = 3569
  • For Rule 2, subtract 1 for the number, 3567 – 1 = 3566

The rules are applied to the Key text in “The Key – Part 3”, and repeated here in Figures 3 and 4,  The total values of the Key text after applying the rules, are 3566 and 3569, highlighted red in Figures 3 and 4 (Click on the figures to enlarge).

Note that the values obtained from the 1184 text using the rules are reversed from the values in the Key text. In other words, Rule 1 applied to the 1184 text confirms the value of Rule 2 applied to the Key text, and vice versa. This is in the spirit of making the first the last, and the last the first.
