The claim has been made that the treasure protected behind the inner door of George Washington’s tomb is that of the Templar Knights, the Holy Grail, but how can we be certain that it came from the Templars? If there is a treasure and if the treasure is from the Templars, then there should be some form of confirmation that the treasure is both real and that the Templars are the ones responsible for ensuring its safety. As luck would have it, there is a very detailed confirmation that the treasure is real, that the Key is the Cross and that it is from the Templars, in fact the carvers did not even bother to encode the main message; they simply say “From the Templars”. The easiest way to hide something is in plain sight. The more obvious a secret is, the fewer people will see it, because everyone expects a conspiracy to be complicated and deceptive.

Inside the Washington Monument there are a series of carved stones that line the wall of the interior staircase. A large number of these stones are Masonic in nature. On the 18th level at approximately the 200 feet, a very curious stone engraving can be found. The inscription on this stone begins with the words “From the Templars”, but there is much more hidden in the carvings on the stone. The complete title of the organization that placed this stone in the monument is “The Templars of Honor and Temperance” and this organization still exists today. According to the organization’s website, “Templars of Honor and Temperance is a fraternal order based on Christian values and practicing complete abstinence from alcoholic drinks. Its purpose is to instill high morals and ideals in its members.” The order denies any connections to the original Templars, but even if the current members knew about a connection, they would not reveal it.

At the time it was submitted to be included in the Monument, this particular stone generated a great deal of controversy, with many involved in the construction refusing to include the stone. Other than the Masonic nature of the symbols on the stone, it really does seem out of place when compared to the other stone carvings within the Monument. The reason this stone was so controversial was because it contains a pledge by this group to never consume, produce, or sell alcohol. Most people felt that this was entirely inappropriate for inclusion in the Monument, but it was ultimately included in the construction. The Templar Stone is pictured in Figure 1.

This stone contains a lot of information, but the inscription that forms an arch above the eagle confirms that the trail of 666 we followed and the treasure is from the Templars. It reads:

FROM THE TEMPLARS OF HONOR AND TEMPERANCE, ORGANIZED DEC. 5, 1845.

The confirmation that the Templars and their descendants are responsible for protecting the treasure and for creating the intricately woven journey from the Bible to Washington, DC, and finally George Washington’s tomb can only be found by writing out the word forms of the numbers in the date, Dec. 5, 1845. The date was specifically selected to encode a message. Replacing the numbers with the equivalent words, yields the following phrase.

FROM THE TEMPLARS OF HONOR AND TEMPERANCE, ORGANIZED DEC. FIVE, EIGHTEEN FORTY FIVE.

The new phrase has a total of 13 words. Recall that 13 degrees was the angle of the Compass on the inner door of Washington’s tomb. The phrase states “FROM THE TEMPLARS”, which can be interpreted as a cryptic instruction to start with the word “TEMPLARS”. So, from ‘TEMPLARS’ to the end of the phrase, the all too familiar numerical confirmation of 666 is provided.

There are 61 letters that give the value 666 beginning with the word ‘TEMPLARS’, or ‘FROM THE” word, ‘TEMPLARS’, to the end of the phrase. Recall that the angle of the Square on the inner door of Washington’s tomb was also 61 degrees. The inner door is confirmed by the numbers 13 and 61, which match the angles of the Square and Compass drawn on the door. The text says that the treasure is from the Templars and also uses the cryptic nature of the beginning of the phrase to reveal the instructions for finding 666.

The eagle is perched on top of a topless pyramid, holding a banner with the words ‘TRUTH LOVE PURITY FIDELITY’, which are all qualities valued by the Templars. Inside the topless pyramid is a nine pointed star, reminiscent of the original nine Templar Knights. The nine pointed star, or enneagram, is formed by 3 overlapping equilateral triangles. The circle to the left of the pyramid contains a single triangle with nine letters surrounding it.

The carved triangle inside the circle is pointing at the letter ‘T’ on each corner. This represents the Triple Tau symbole used by the Royal Arch degree in Freemasonry, as shown in Figure 3.

The arrangement of the three T’s in the Royal Arch emblem signifies the letters, T. H., or Templum Hierosolym, the Temple of Jerusalem, and when used as the Royal Arch symbol, some jurisdictions teach that the wearer acknowledges himself a servant of God. The basis of a triple tau in early church history would mean the trinity of father, son, and holy spirit. A belief in the triune nature of godhead is common to many faiths and religions.

In gematria, the letter ‘T’ has a value of 20, so ‘TTT’ = 60. If the triangle is rotated clockwise to the next set of letters, and then once more to the third set of letters, an interesting clue can be found. In the King James Bible, the letter “V’ is often replaced with the letter ‘U’, so substitute the letter ‘U’ for the ‘V’ in the third set of letters. An coding technique that will be needed in the code contained in the King James Bible involves the repeated summation of the digits of a number until only a single digit remains. Using this summation technique gives the number 666 again.

‘TTT’ = 60 = 6 + 0 = 6
‘SDA’ = 24 = 2 + 4 = 6
‘URC’ = 42 = 4 + 3 = 6

The number 666 found here helps to confirm finding 666 in the title of the stone and to offer information that will be needed in the future to decode the King James Bible.

The columns on the left and right sides of the stone represent the two columns that stood guard over the entrance to Solomon’s Temple, Boaz and Jachin. Every Masonic Temple in the world is required to have these two columns in the Lodge. Their purpose here could be to confirm that the Templars really did find something beneath Solomon’s Temple. The two columns are topped with a lamp and a flame. Early in Masonry, initiates are taught about the three Great Lights, which are the Holy Bible, the Square, and the Compass. The Holy Bible is the foundation or Great Light of Freemasonry and every Lodge conducts business with an open Bible on the altar, along with the Square and Compass.

In the lower left corner of the stone is a representation of Noah’s Ark. Located in the lower right corner is a cup or bowl that might be used to represent the Grail. Recall that the cup found in the King James Bible was formed using the words ‘NOAHS TRUTH’. Noah’s Ark and the word ‘TRUTH’ on the banner held by the eagle could be confirmation of the cup hidden in the text of the Bible.

The most interesting confirmation of the Templars and the connection to the tomb of George Washington is found in the pledge located at the bottom of the stone, shown in Figure 4.

The pledge is copied below. It appears to be very innocent, but appearances can be deceiving.

OUR PLEDGE.
WE WILL NOT MAKE BUY, SELL OR USE, AS A BEVERAGE, ANY SPIRITOUS
OR MALT LIQUORS WINE, CIDER, OR ANY OTHER ALCOHOLIC LIQUOR;
AND WILL DISCOUNTENANCE THEIR MANUFACTURE TRAFFIC AND USE.
AND THIS PLEDGE WE WILL MAINTAIN UNTO THE END OF LIFE.

There have been several connections to the Bible on this stone and the pledge will use the signature of God to reveal a secret, in much the same manner as it was discovered in the first verse of Genesis. The secret message can be found by deleting all spaces and punctuation from the text of the pledge and left justifying the text as shown below. The letters ‘GOD’ are in positions 888 of lines 1, 2, and 4.

While it is true that ‘GOD’ is in positions 888 in a manner similar to the Bible, there is a gap between the ‘O’ and ‘D’. The line of text that divides ‘GOD’ contains a total of 47 letters, which is the value of ‘GRAIL’. Additionally, a Cross can be formed with the vertical line that contains ‘GOD” and the third horizontal line of text. The cross is highlighted below.

The standard gematria value of the letters in the ‘GOD’ line and the letters in the Grail line is,

The total is close to 666, but something is missing. To reach the number 666, the value of ‘GOD’ = 26, must be added.

By intentionally designing the encoded cross to be less than 666 by the value of ‘GOD’, they have confirmed that finding ‘GOD’ in positions 888 is correct and they have also confirmed that the shape of the Cross is correct. Additionally, the 47 letters in the long leg of the Cross confirms that the shape of the cross is related to the ‘GRAIL’. It has been established that the most likely location for the hidden treasure is the tomb of George Washington and that the Cross is the Key to opening the door. The hidden Cross on the Templar stone is intended to confirm the secret once the secret has been discovered. The descendants of the Templar Knights left a very clear message about the Grail and how to find it on this amazing stone.
